Timur Onzhanov

Timur Onzhanov was born on April 28, 1984.

On August 14, 2024, he was elected Chairman of the Board of Directors of Qazaqstan Investment Corporation JSC.

Timur Onzhanov graduated in 2008 from the University of Bern (Switzerland) Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Economics, in 2012 from the University of St. Gallen (Switzerland) Master of Science in Banking and Finance with a focus on corporate finance, markets & foreign trade (2012).

Career highlights:

From July 2013 to July 2016, Timur Onzhanov served as a sales manager in the Structured Trade and Export Finance Department at Deutsche Bank AG (Frankfurt, Germany).

From September 2016 to June 2024, he held various positions at the Astana International Financial Center (AIFC), including Deputy Director of the Department for Development of the Asset Management and Large Private Capital Services Market, Director of the Department for Development of the Asset Management and Large Private Capital Services Market, Managing Director for Business Development, First Deputy General Director for Development of International Business and Cooperation, and Executive Director and Chief Representative for the Financial Sector of the AIFC Administration.

He was appointed as Deputy Chairman of the Management Board in June 2024 and was elected as a member of the Management Board by the resolution of the Board of Directors NMH Baiterek JSC on June 18, 2024.

Timur Onzhanov does not hold any additional part-time positions and does not own shares in affiliated organizations.
