Assessment of the effectiveness
QIC conducts an independent corporate governance assessment at least once every three years. In 2025, an independent corporate governance assessment of QIC was carried out by Russell Bedford A+ Partners LLP, based on the results of which QIC received a score of 96.1% (the previous result of the independent corporate governance assessment in 2022 was 93.81%).
Independent Assessment for 2023
Efficiency mark
The corporate governance assessment was conducted across three key components: Structure, Processes, and Transparency.
The assessment was aimed at evaluating compliance with the criteria of the corporate governance system in accordance with the corporate governance diagnostic methodology, as well as the application of the principles and provisions of the OECD recommendations on corporate governance of state-owned enterprises and leading international best practices in corporate governance.
An improvement in the score is noted compared to the results of the independent corporate governance diagnostics in 2022 and 2025.
The final corporate governance score amounted to 96.1%. Compared to 2022, the score for the “Structure” component increased from 95.83% to 99.4%, for “Processes” from 91.67% to 94.4%, and for “Transparency” from 94.51% to 94.7%.
Approval of the Corporate Governance Improvement Plan
In addition to the key aspects of corporate governance implemented by QIC, there remain areas requiring further enhancement to ensure full alignment with best corporate governance practices.
On December 1, 2025, following the independent assessment, the Board of Directors approved the Action Plan for Improving the Corporate Governance System of Qazaqstan Investment Corporation JSC for 2026–2028.
