Qazaqstan Investment Corporation and FCAP Investors Pte. Ltd announced the establishment of a private equity fund

        Qazaqstan Investment Corporation JSC (QIC, subsidiary organization of Baiterek NMH JSC), and Singapore based FCAP Investors Pte. Ltd (FCAP) announced the establishment of private equity fund - Forebright Life Science Technology Fund, L.P. (the Fund) as one of its cornerstone investors.

         The Fund will primarily invest in companies undertaking research in Multi-omics technologies and synthetic biology (excluding human genetic engineering), including projects to provide comprehensive newborn screening services and the prevention and control of birth deceases.

         The Fund has a target size of US$200 million and is expected to operate until 2035.

         The Fund's geographic coverage includes Kazakhstan and countries of the Middle East, Europe, and Asia. Investments in Kazakhstan are planned to be directed to projects focused on reproductive health and preventive medicine.

         The Fund was initiated during the official visit of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, K.-J. Tokayev to Singapore in May 2024.

         It should be noted that the agreement on the Fund establishment provides for educational programs for medical professionals and researchers in Kazakhstan, as well as internships for Kazakhstani students and Master's Degree students in the field of health care.
