Baiterek Venture Fund JSCin EMC Agro LLP farm expansion project

In October 2022 Baiterek Venture Fund JSC (Kazyna Capital Management JSC subsidiary) financed the EMC Agro LLP project on expansion of the operating pig farm up to 200,000 heads for slaughtering of marketable herd per year. The total cost of the investment project equals KZT 20.6 bln, including investments of Baiterek Venture Fund JSC amounted to KZT 1.1 bln. EMC Agro LLP is a company located in Taiynshin District, North Kazakhstan Region, with vertically integrated production, which includes breeding, growing and slaughtering of animals, as well as meat processing and own distribution. The current farm capacity is 100,000 head for the slaughter of marketable herds per year. The fund was directed toward the purchase of equipment from Big Dutchman International GmbH for keeping animals. 150 permanent jobs will be created as part of the project. When the project reaches its planned capacity, the volume of tax payments to the budget expected to be more than KZT 700 mln a year, and the volume of sales will exceed KZT 26 bln. EMC Agro LLP has an international quality certificate FSSC-22000, which facilitates access to international markets. The company plans to enter the export market in China in the near future. It should be noted that earlier Baiterek Venture Fund JSC supported EMC Agro LLP by financing the project on expansion of pig farm for slaughter of commercial herd from 50 000 to 100 000 heads per year for production of pork and sausage products in Tayynsha city of North-Kazakhstan region. Fund resources were used for construction and installation work, the purchase of equipment for animal housing, as well as the purchase of breeding stock and replenishment of working capital. The project created 300 permanent jobs. When the project reached its planned capacity, the volume of tax payments to the budget was more than KZT 591 mln, and the volume of sales exceeded KZT 18 bln. For reference Baiterek Venture Fund JSC was established in 2014, is a 100% subsidiary of Kazyna Capital Management JSC and which is part of the group of companies of Baiterek National Managing Holding" JSC..
